Can 120 ohm bus terminating resistor be switched off?

When using system module 2173IB with the associated system cable a bus terminating resistor is fitted as standard. How can the resistor be removed if necessary?

The bus terminating resistor (120 ohm) is not inside system bus module 2173 IB but is integrated into the Sub-D connector on the system cable. It is possible to use a different cable or modify the Sub-D connector (remove the resistor).
