Commissioning vector control for EVF9300

Question:

What is the correct procedure to activate vector control?

Answer:

Commissioning vector control calls for the following sequence of settings (see also operating instructions sect. 5.4.3.2 'Optimising Vector Control')

1. Select 'Vector control' operating mode (C0006 = 1)

2. Select motor (motor selection C0086): if a different make of motor is being used enter data on the manufacturer's label

3. Activate temperature feedback if installed (C0594 = 0 or 2)

4. Start motor identification (C0148 = 1) => Motor identification completed if C0183 = IMP reports inhibit

5a. If despite repeated motor identification it cannot be completed successfully (ID1-, ID2-TRIP or drive fails to report C0183 = IMP inhibit after 1-2 minutes), proceed from step 6!

5b. Fine adjustment: If the motor parameters determined on motor identification do not lead to optimum operating performance, a fine adjustment can be conducted on the control via C0092 (see operating instructions sect. 5.4.3.2 and 5.4.3.3)

6. If need be, i.e. if motor identification fails repeatedly (ID1-, ID2-TRIP or drive fails to report C0183 = IMP inhibit after 1-2 minutes), the motor data assistant in GDC containing an extensive list of Lenze motors and other makes of motor along with the relevant motor parameters can be used for assistance.

Note:
The motor parameters provided are no substitute for the identification run of 9300 vector / hoist because here the motor cable and the resulting switching performance are also measured.
