INTERBUS Club

The INTERBUS Clubs in the individual countries have been created on the initiative of well-known companies doing business all over the world that offer and use products and services for open automation solutions.

Objective: Promote the INTERBUS technology in the international markets to ensure their own economic success.

Due to the increasing progression of the fieldbus technologies towards Ethernet, the German INTERBUS Club, which was founded in 1992, decided in 2010 to use PROFINET as future Ethernet-based fieldbus. The concept for migration into the PROFIBUS User Organisation e.V. (PNO) and the dissolution of the INTERBUS Club was developed to spare club members organisational efforts and membership fees for participation in two user groups.
