Override 'POS-A-OVERRID' and 'POS-V-OVERRID' (elimination)

Which products are affected?

Function restriction eliminated on the 9300EP servo positioning controller as of versions V2.5 and V6.1.

Eliminated function restriction

With override values less than 100 % the override function did not operate satisfactorily for operational adaptation of accelerations and decelerations if internally the values for acceleration or velocity were too low (a, v < 65536 inc).
The levels of the values depend on the machine parameters and can be read out under the following codes:
  • C1221/12: Indication 'Current value C1240' for Vmax in internal display; GDC: under menu 'Positioning functions / POS: Display'.
  • C1221/13: Indication 'Current value C1250' for Amax in internal display; GDC: under menu 'Positioning functions / POS: Display'.

The effects were generally more serious in acceleration override than in V-override, on account of the values which were usually lower.
In detail:
For accelerations and velocities less than 65536 the arithmetic algorithm was changed so inevitable rounding errors no longer have serious effects.

Possible diagnostics?

Drive does not respond according to the changing override values.

Short-term measures/recommendations?

None. Possibly use FEVAN to adapt v and a.

Evaluation:

Response is not sporadic but even occurs during commissioning.
