Function: When the safety function is requested, the motor is stopped according to stop category 1 of EN 60204-1.
After switching on the system, an emergency stop or an error in the SM301, homing is required (negative direction to touch probe). For this, the safety PLC activates SDIneg and SLS in the SM301.
If the limit switch is actuated (home position found), the home position will be set via DI8 (touch probe) in the 9400. In the SM301, SDIneg will be deactivated and SDIpos will be activated. Moreover, OMS and ES will be activated in the SM301 to activate SLI. SLI is used as absolute position monitoring.
Retracting from the limit switch is carried out in positive direction. As soon as the limit switch is no longer actuated, SDIpos and SLS will be deactivated in the SM301.
If the limit switch is actuated (enabled traversing range in negative direction left) when the home position is known, an error will be set.
The limit switch must be equipped with three positively driven normally closed contacts (e.g. Schmersal T4VH 335-03Z).
A safety-oriented evaluation of the current position in the safety PLC is not possible.
