Behaviour of the new version?
The selection of the Homing operating mode and the setting of the start bit for the homing process can be done in the same cycle.
Which products are affected?
8400 HighLine with FW < 05.01
What happens?
Homing does not start, the motor will not move.
When does the problem occur?
If the Homing operating mode and the start signal for the homing process are set at the same time via the control signals (MCK interface or MCK control word).
Possible diagnostics?
Homing seems to have started but the motor does not rotate and no reference is set.
Short-term measures / recommendations?
Select the operating mode first and wait for at least 1 cycle (1 ms) to start the homing process
(e.g. equip the controller with a signal delay).
Evaluation:
The error can be avoided if the recommendations are followed.
