Eliminated from:
HighLine with firmware version V05.01 or higher
Behaviour of the new version?
If a hardware limit switch is still activated after a homing process to say hardware limit switch has been performed, the corresponding error is triggered. Thus, the monitoring function fulfils its task.
This can be achieved by an offset path (C1227/1) or a sequence profile (C1228). In the Homing mode, the limit switch must be left at the end of the homing process.
Which products are affected?
8400 HighLine with FW < 05.01
What happens?
If the drive stops at the limit switch after the homing process, it can overtravel the travel range limit without an error being triggered.
When does the problem occur?
During homing processes in mode 12/13 (Homing to hardware limit switch).
Possible diagnostics?
No error response in spite of an activated hardware limit switch.
Short-term measures / recommendations?
Set an offset (C1227/1) to leave the hardware limit switch and to reach the 'permissible' travel range.
Evaluation:
Use the workaround to limit the travel range and to avoid damage.
