Corrected from: 02th of may 2025
Behavior of the new version:
As of the above date, it is ensured that only modules with revision number 8 are delivered.
Description of the behavior:
Safety I/O modules 8/2 were delivered to the field, which have a
revision number 9 in index 0x1018 Sub003. These modules are completely
identical to the modules released by Lenze except for the changed revision number 8.
Known restrictions:
- With the Plc Designer, the module cannot be found using busscan. Error message is: "Device could not be found in the device repository. Vendor code 0x3B, product code 0x43000802, revision:
0x9"
- If the module is selected manually from the device repository and inserted into the project, the device works as expected. Only
a warning is entered in the logbook of the Lenze Controller after each download or power cycle. This reads: "No
correct device description found, vendor code 0x3B, product code 0x43000802, revision: 0x9".
- After a service case (installation of module with revision number 9), the above warning is also entered in the logbook after each mains switching.
The module itself works as expected.

Short-term
Measures, Recommendations, Evaluation:
The Safety I/O module 8/2 with the revision number
9 does not differ functionally from a module with the
revision number 8. The detected behavior has no effect on the safety functions. It can therefore be used with the restriction that a warning
is entered in the controller logbook.
If the user wants to replace the module in order to avoid the
logbook entries, he can contact the Lenze
Service department.
