i750 double axis: Display in the device tree as two EtherCAT devices, handling like two single axes

Question:
i750-Doppelachs-Geräte:
What needs to be considered with regard to handling in the engineering tools (PLC-Designer, Easy-Starter)?

Answer:
In contrast to the i700 dual-axis devices, which are only integrated as one EtherCAT device, the i750 double-axis devices each have two EtherCAT devices with their own EtherCAT address internally. Whereby both are internally fixed connected and only the EtherCAT input of the first and the EtherCAT output of the second are routed to the outside via hardware connections.
The EtherCAT addresses of the two EtherCAT devices must be consecutive. which is why dthe two axes in the device tree in the PLC-Designer must be arranged consecutively.
Correspondingly, they may only be moved together, deleted or inserted.

In the engineering tools, there was initially no labeling of axes A and B for clear differentiation, as known from the predecessor i700.
With PLC-Designer V4, such a labeling and differentiation option is now available. Furthermore, the handling of inserting, deleting and moving i750 double axes in the device tree has been improved, see the following release notes: 202500039
In the Easy-Starter analog functions are now available for the i750 dual-axis devices.
