i950 Communication : Beckhoff-Controller over EtherCat

An i950 servo inverter can communicate via the Onboard EtherCAT and via an optional EtherCAT fieldbus module.

Possible uses of the Onboard EtherCAT:
As a motion bus Synchronised, cyclic setpoint setting in conjunction with i950 CiA base and TA CiA Advanced
As a logic bus Exchange of control status information with i950 Lenze or User TA
Only use as a logic bus is possible via the EtherCAT fieldbus module, as the fieldbus cannot be synchronised.
Parameter data:
- Parameter data can be exchanged with all device versions via the Onboard EtherCAT.
- The fieldbus interface is not supported with the i950 CiA base. With all other i950 applications, parameter data communication can also take place via fieldbus.
FSoE:
- The Onboard EtherCAT supports FSoE with all device variants.
- The fieldbus interface is not supported with the i950 CiA base. All other device versions support FSoE on the fieldbus.
