Safety bus coupler is not recognized by the EASY starter
Question: If I scan the EtherCAT bus with the EASY starter, the safety bus coupler is found, but not recognized. Why is that?
Answer:
The safety bus coupler is detected during the bus scan. The EASY starter then queries the index 0x1018 via CoE to identify the device. Since this index does not exist in the safety bus coupler, the identification fails. Therefore, the safety bus coupler is marked red in the EASY starter as an unrecognized device.
