Question:
Where can I find declarations of incorporation or manufacturer's declarations in accordance with the Machinery Directive on the Lenze website?
Answer:
With the entry into force of the 'new' Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC, the manufacturer's declarations became declarations of incorporation.
Declarations of incorporation are issued by the manufacturer or an authorised representative for partly completed machinery covered by the Machinery Directive.
We cannot know if our products will be used in machinery later on which will eventually actually fall under the Machinery Directive.
Since our 'standard' components do not fall under the Machinery Directive, there are no declarations of incorporation for 'standard' Lenze products available.
Our products with functional safety units fall under the Machinery Directive. For these products, EC Type-Examination Certificates are provided as proof of conformity with the relevant directives. Separate declarations of incorporation are not provided.
The EC Type-Examination Certificates can be found on the Lenze website in the download area under 'Technical documentation'.
