Problems when going online via PC system bus adapter (USB) EMF2177 at USB 3.0

Question:
What may lead to problems when going online via the PC system bus adapter (USB) is faulty?

Answer:
Newer computers are often equipped with a USB 3.0 interface. These are mainly computers with WIN 7 operating systems. USB 1.0 and USB 2.0 devices can also be properly operated at a USB 3.0 interface. However, problems may occur if the computer is equipped with an older USB 3.0 driver.

The following problems may occur:
  • Windows crash with bluescreen
  • Slow online search for Lenze devices or not all devices on the CANbus are found
  • After going online, messages appear indicating that Lenze parameters could not be read or time-outs have occurred during communication.

The USB 3.0 drivers offered by computer manufacturers are often not up-to-date. The latest USB 3.0 driver can always be found on the motherboard manufacturers' homepages. Which USB manufactuer is installed on the motherboard can be seen in the Windows Device Manager under USB.

Below, please find a list of important USB manufacturers and driver versions that do not lead to problems.
  • Renesas -> version 2.1.27.0
  • ASMedia -> version 1.14.1.0
  • Fresco Logic -> version 3.4.6.0
  • Texas Instrumens -> version 1.12.14.0
  • Etron -> version 1.0 Build 0.105
