DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) function

Application
The module can now also be used for applications in case of which the network configuration is assigned by a DHCP server by means of the DHCP function.

Description
Compared to firmware version 1.7, the DHCP function is no longer activated when supplying the module in its current delivery version. Therefore, the new/current firmware 1.8 responds in the same was as firmware version 1.1.

Note:
The huge firmware change of the module from 1.1 to 1.7 is caused by the fact that Lenze has not supplied every interim firmware version.

Detailed description of the starting behaviour without DHCP:
In the state it is supplied (i. e. without activated DHCP) the module starts with the static IP address 0.0.0.0. Afterwards, the module automatically searches for an IP address in the 169.254.xxx.xxx area by means of the dynamic Auto IP assignment APIPA. This IP address can now be changed at any time by means of the Lenze system bus configurator.

If a valid IP address is set under code C1210 the module starts with this IP address.

Detailed description of the starting behaviour with DHCP:
If the DHCP function is activated under code C1228 when starting the module it is waited for 15 seconds for a response from a DHCP server. If there is no response from a DHCP server received it is changed over to the Auto IP assignment APIPA automatically and the module accepts an IP address in the 169.254.xxx.xxx area.

Note:
If default setting is loaded for the module via code C0002 the following parameters / codes of the module are NOT reset:
- IP address code C1210
- Network mask code C1211
- Standard Gateway code C1224
- DHCP function code C1228

Changes in these codes become effective by a reset via code C1229 or when connecting the module to the mains.
