The Mounting Instructions and the 8400 StateLine / HighLine / TopLine Hardware Manual contain different information on the use of shielded cables for X80 (safe torque off). May unshielded cables be used or do you have to use shielded cables?
Answer:
Using unshielded cables for the wiring of X80 is permissible. The safety unit has been checked once again by the TÜV Rheinland for the new 8400 designs. During the check, the use of unshielded cables has been confirmed. The documentation will be adapted accordingly as part of the next revision.
