Safety approval in the event of controller replacement

Question:
What must be observed if a Servo Drive 9400 needs to be replaced in which a SM100 or a SM301/SM302 has been installed?

Answer:
Since the safety functionality of the Servo Drive 9400 is not located in the basic device, the new basic device can go into operation immediately. All modules will be taken over into the new basic device.

SM301/SM302: When switching on the controller again, the SM301/SM302 checks if the two safe parameter sets in the memory and in the safety module comply with each other. If this is the case, the SM301/SM302 can be enabled immediately because the safety functionality has not been changed. Therefore, the safety functionality does not have to be approved again.

SM100: The SM100 does not contain any parameterisation. Therefore, the module can be enabled immediately. The safety functionality does not have to be approved again.
