Motor brake for braking without brake resistor (from V4.0 onwards)

Function extension:
Regenerative energy in the motor can be reduced by means of the 'motor brake' function if there is no brake resistor. When this function is activated, the motor is briefly accelerated when the DC-bus voltage increases. As a result, the deceleration ramp can lengthen.

The code L-C00175 can be used to activate the motor brake function with the selection 3 and 4.

Applications
Reduction of regenerative energy in the motor if there is no brake resistor (L-C00175 = 3) or emergency braking if the brake resistor fails (L-C00175 = 4). When the motor brake is applied, an additional temperature increase of the motor occurs which is not detected by the model of motor temperature detection (I2*t).
