L-force Loader V4.3
Functional description
If the device description suitable for the device has not been installed, the L-force Loader V4.3 attempts to assign a downwards compatible device description to the device.
Applications
The L-force Loader is used to download files to a device the L-force Loader cannot find a suitable device description for. This situation arises if the device has a new firmware main level the L-force Loader does not know yet.
Up to L-force Loader V4.2, the files could not be downloaded to this device until a device data update had been installed providing the suitable device description.
From version 4.3, the L-force Loader checks if an older, downwards compatible device description can be assigned to the device. If the files to be downloaded have been created for a device version equal to or older than the version of the device described by the assigned device description, the L-force Loader is able to download these files. In this case, a device data update does not need to be carried out.
