Function description
The I&M functionality must be supported by Profibus slave interface modules equipped with DP-V1 functionality. Moreover, it provides information about the interface module with regard to commissioning and maintenance. Special tools (configuration software of the Profibus master) can use this function in order to search concretely for information on the Internet based on the interface module data.
Applications
The I&M functionality can be used by a Profibus master.

The I&M functionality can exclusively be used in combination with the new GSD / GSE file (Len_2133). The new GSD / GSE file is provided in the download area on the Lenze home page.
