What happens?
The following error message is generated when compiling the HMI project (menu item: Tools>Compile project):
ERROR – Unable to compile variables/memory areas defined
When does the problem occur?
The error message mentioned above occurs if a system variable (e.g. General sheet) is used in an 'Automatic Operation' under the Enable condition tab.
Possible diagnostics?
None.
Short-term measures/recommendations?
Do not use system variables as enabling condition for 'Automatic Operations'.
Evaluation:
The use of system variables as enabling condition for 'Automatic Operations' causes an error message when compiling an HMI project. The system variable serves for automating the print options of the keypad.
