Value entry in case of number fields with fixed point format

Which products are affected?
ESP-HMI1-P (HMI Designer V1.7)

What happens?
When entering values via a number field the user must enter all digits preceding the decimal point.

Example:
The format of the number field is defined as follows: ####.#. The value 2 is to be entered by the user, i.e. he has to enter 0002.

When does the problem occur?
In case of number fields which have been configured with the numerical format 'Fixed point' the cursor for entering the value is placed on the far left, i.e. on the highest decimal place of the number. The user must enter all digits preceding the decimal point in order to enter a value.

Possible diagnostics?
None.

Short-term measures/recommendations?
Use the 'Integer' number format instead of the 'Fixed point' number format and separate the decimal places in the 'Format' field by a point.

Evaluation:
In case of all numerical formats, the values in the number fields are entered from the right to the left. Only the numerical format 'Fixed point' differs from that.
