Qualification of an error number in the plc or HMI

Question:
How do the decimal value of the Engineer export 'Export error texts' and the error number DI_dwErrorCode or C00168 match and does the error number for a qualification has to be processed in a control or an HMI?

Answer:
In the bits 26-31 the error number DI_dwErrorCode and in the C00168 information is contained about the set reaction of the corresponding monitoring and the instance-ID of the monitoring function. For the evaluation of the error number in a superimposed control or HMI this information are generally not required. The decimal value of the exported error texts from the Engineer is generated from the bits 0-25 of the total error number only. First, the error number to be transmitted to the control has to be reduced to the required information in the bits 0-25, so that it corresponds to the entry of the error list. This reduction can be executed by an AND-operation bit per bit with a masking value (see figure).
