Software installation overwrites the current CoDeSys gateway

Which products are affected?
Update communication software (CAN) as of V2.0.12.28
L-force Engineer HighLevel as of V1.4
L-force Engineer StateLevel as of V1.4
Global Drive Control as of V4.10 SP2
Global Drive Control easy as of V4.10 SP2

What happens?
CoDeSys, a development environment of 3S-Smart Software Solutions GmbH, is not able to communicate with the devices.

When does the problem occur?
With installation of the above-mentioned software products the CoDeSys-Gateway-Server V2.3.7.0 is installed. If a current CoDeSys-Gateway-Server (>V2.3.7.0) has already been installed to the PC, it will be substituted with installation of the above-mentioned software products without previous checking of the version. Consequently, an already installed CoDeSys can be unable to communicate with the devices.

Possible diagnostics?
Start the CoDeSys-Gateway-Server. In the Windows task bar a traffic-light symbol time will be displayed next to the indicated time. Open the context menu by clicking the right mouse buttom on the traffic-light symbol. Then click menu item About. In the displayed info window the installed version of the CoDeSys-Gateway-Servers will be indicated.

Short-term measures/recommendations?
After installation of the above-mentioned products re-install CoDeSys. The CoDeSys-Gateway-Server will be substituted.

Evaluation:
The functionality of the Lenze Software-products will not be impaired by this function restriction. Due to this function restriction it can be possible that the CoDeSys-version of third parties will not work impeccable anymore.
