Description of analytic cam formula of the GDC cam editor

The GDC software tool offers a simple cam editor allowing the cam definition using mathematical equations. In which way does the user has to adjust parameters of the mathematical formulars to bring a cam profile to the cusatomer's demands?

Answer:
The GDC cam editor allows the mathematical defintion of rest phases, synchronous phases, polynomials of 5th order and sloped sine lines. The input of these functions is done by setting coefficients. The attached document briefly describes the meaning of each coefficient and shows grafic diagrams of cams as an example.
