Value ranges of the motor data C0084/C0085/C0088

Eliminated from?
EVS93xx-EK V8.1, EVS93xx-CK V8.1

Behavior of the new version?
Up to version V7.1 the parametrization of small sized motors was not possible due to the limited value range of the code numbers C0084, C0085 and C0088. The value ranges for the code numbers C0084/C0085/C0088 have been extended now as follows:
=> motor stator resistance C0084: 0.00 ... 150.00Ohm
=> motor leakage inductance C0085: 0.00 ... 655.35mH
=> motor rated current C0088  0.2 ... 500.0A

What happens?
It is not possible to parameterise motors whose values for stator resistance (C0084/000), leakage inductance (C0085/000) or rated current (C0088/000) are outside the preliminary defined code limits.
A problem occurs if the user creates third party motors in the GDC motor data assistant whose stator resistance (C0084), leakage inductance (C0085) or rated current (C0088) are outside the limit values of the assigned codes. Such values are accepted by the GDC motor data assistant when being entered but if the values are to be accepted by the GDC codes, GDC rejects the parameter setting attempt of the GDC motor data assistant since the permitted value range of the codes is exceeded. In this case these codes do not change their previous settings.

When does the problem occur?
The problem occurs if user-defined motors (third party motors) are to be defined via the GDC motor data assistant. When the GDC motor data assistant is used only those parameters are set which are inside the permitted limits of C0084, C0085 and C0088. In case of values outside these limits the last parameter is maintained instead of the requested value. As a result, an inconsistence in the motor data may occur.

Possible diagnostics?
When codes C0084/000, C0085/000 or C0088/000 are read back, data which does not correspond to the motor selected is read back.

Short-term measures/recommendations?
None.

Evaluation:
The electrical values of the motors which are usually operated at 9300 servo inverters fully comply with the existent value limits. The function restriction only occurs when special motors are used.
