Which products are affected?
9300EP position controller <= V6.2
9300ES servo controller <= V6.2
What happens?
The drive controller returns a NMT (Network Management Telegram) with the data contents '0xFF 0xFF' in response to a REMOTE-REQUST with identifier 0. If the drive controller is configured as boot up master the response to a REMOTE-REQUST with identifier 0 is suppressed. However, if the boot up master is configured as slave this is not the case.
When does the problem occur?
The problem occurs during the boot up phase when the controller is switched on.
Possible diagnostics?
Check of the telegrams during the boot up phase.
Short-term measures/recommendations?
Configure the CAN station as boot up master and not as slave.
Evaluation:
If required the problem can easily be eliminated by applying the short-term measures mentioned before.
