Question:
In case of CamDesigner projects with several slave axes and different quantities of motion profiles only one product number between 0 and the lowest preselected quantity of motion profiles can be selected in menu
<Edit> =>
<Project settings...>, tab
General. Is it possible to create cam files with different quantities of motion profiles in the CamDesigner base projects with several slave axes?
Answer:
Yes, it is, however, not possible to create the project within one CamDesigner base project, but the project is required to be created in the form of several project files (CAM files). Each CAM file contains the information of
one slave axis only.
Example: A CamDesigner base project contains two slave axes. Slave axis 1 is supposed to use 10 motion profiles in total, slave axis 2 totally 3 motion profiles. In CamDesigner base product numbers between 0 and 2 can be entered in menu
<Edit> =>
<Project settings...>, tab
General, although the slave axis 1 expects the preselection of 10 motion profiles.
Remedy: Create two CamDesigner base projects, one for the slave axis 1 with 10 motion profiles and one for the slave axis 2 with 3 motion profiles. Now you can address all cams via menu
<Edit> =>
<Project settings...>, tab
General, and create the assigned cam file (LC9 file).
