Reducing the current consumption by means of C0913 when synchronising during flying restart circuit and/or recovery from a pulse inhibit caused by OU

Which products are affected?
9300 vector 11…90 kW SW V7.1

Applications
Applications in which a regenerative energy occurs, e. g. fans.

Function description
Function description for recovery from pulse inhibit caused by OU:
If the DC-bus voltage (UDC) exceeds the switch-off threshold OU the pulse inhibit is set and an OU message is generated. At the same time an internal timing element is started for a decay time (C0912). The pulse inhibit and the OU message are deactivated when the voltage falls below the switch-on threshold OU and when the decay time has expired. After the pulse inhibit has been deactivated the output voltage MCTRL-VACT of the drive controller is increased along a ramp until the proportional output voltage according to the V/f characteristic has been reached. The rate of rise of the voltage ramp influences the amount of the current consumption generated during the voltage rise.

Function description for the flying restart circuit (applies to operation with activated flying restart circuit C0142 = 2 or 3):
When the drive controller has determined the current speed of the coasting machine the output voltage MCTRL-VACT of the drive controller is increased along a ramp until the proportional output voltage according to the V/f characteristic has been reached. The rate of rise of the voltage ramp influences the amount of the current consumption generated during the voltage rise.

In both cases a reduction of the current consumption is achieved by extending the voltage ramp (reducing the rate of rise of the voltage ramp).

When C0913 = 1 the rate of rise of the voltage ramp is reduced by factor two. As a result, the current consumption is reduced. This function is deactivated in the Lenze setting (C0913 = 0).

Code C0913 influences the 9326….9333 drive controllers (11…90 kW). The code is available for 9321….9325 devices (0.37…5.5 kW) but it has no influence.
In a more recent firmware version this function is also activated for 9321…9325 devices.

Irrespective of the setting under C0913 the rate of rise of the voltage ramp always depends on
• the last active setpoint before the OU message (recovery from OU without flying restart circuit) or
• the speed determined during the flying restart circuit (with flying restart circuit

Note:
After recovery from a pulse inhibit caused by OU a flying restart circuit will not automatically be executed although C0142 = 3. In order to activate a flying restart circuit after recovery from OU e. g. MONIT-OU has to be linked to DCTRL-CINHx (i. e. the controller inhibit is set inside the controller during the pulse inhibit caused by OU). After deactivating the controller inhibit the flying restart circuit will be activated.
