What happens?
The keypad displays a field that does not permit values to be entered.
In the field setting under the Mode tab the Input enabled option was activated and the Bit protection option was deactivated.
When does the problem occur?
The response described above occurs dependent on the set scaling of the variable whose value is indicated by the field. The scaling of the variable is set via the Linear scaling in the Limit values tab of the Variables project component. If in the linear scaling the min-value of the keypad or the device is higher than the corresponding max-value, the response described above will occur.
A min-value higher than the max-value can only be set if the variable is signed. This means, the Sign option has to be activated in the General tab.

Short-term measures / recommendations?
Make sure that the min-values of a Linear scaling of a variable are smaller than the corresponding max-values.
Evaluation:
Dependent on the setting of the scaling of a variable a value cannot be entered via a field that displays the value of this variable. This function restriction is detected during commissioning at the latest.
