Can the GDC timeout time be modified for a code access (Lecom A/B)?
Answer:
Due to long ways of communication, e. g. remote maintenance solutions with virtual CAM ports, there can be timeouts in the GDC software when codes are accessed. After installation the timeout monitoring of the GDC software is set to 200 ms. This time can be modified, if required.
For this purpose open the file GDC32.ini, which you can find in the GDC directory BIN. The file consists of several paragraphs.
You will find the timeout monitoring in the paragraph [LCM_AB] => SearchTimeout = 200.
When the timeout time has been modified, the file is to be stored and the GDC must be restarted.
