DISA, DISPH, display of values in different formats

Question:

How can the internal values of function block input and output signals be displayed in the GDC?

Answer:

In the PC program Global Drive Control (GDC) signals are displayed in the methods of representation  '%', 'rpm' or 'units' via the display codes of the function block inputs. This requires an often change in standardisation so that not the actual variable values are displayed.
If e. g. for controlling the calculations the exact internal value of a signal is required, the function blocks 'DISA' and 'DISPH' can be used.

By means of the function blocks DISA and DISPH in 9300EP analogue and angle signals can be displayed in the standardisations [%], [absolutely decimal] and [hexadecimal]:
  • C1691/x: DISA-IN(%) analogue value in % (16384 = 100 %)
  • C1692/x: DISA-IN(value) internal analogue value in decimal
  • C1693/x: DISA-IN(hex) internal analogue value in hexadecimal
  • C1696/x: DISPH-IN internal angle value in inc, decimal

Tip:
DISA and DISPH do not have to be added to the processing table in order to use their function block inputs.
