Why can some codes (e. g. C0200, C0201) not be read by the EMF2171IB and EMF2172IB AIF communication modules (CAN system bus)?
Answer:
The EMF2171IB/2172IB module cannot read or write codes, which are stored in string format. These codes are e. g. C0200 (software identification) or C0201 (software date of development). In GDC an error is displayed, which can, however, be confirmed by 'Ignore'.
The successor module EMF2175 IB (CANopen and DeviceNet) is able to read string codes.
