Question:
How is the jerk's reaction if 'POS-JERK-RED' is reduced?

Answer:
A reduction of POS-JERK-RED causes a jerk reduction or a prolongation of the actual jerk time accordingly.

Example:
If 10 s are pre-selected for C1256 (jerk time) POS-JERK-RED = 50 % prolongs the actual jerk time to 20 s. The code digit's limit of 10 s has no limiting influence.

If the acceleration is not constant due to low positioning speed, this is not critical. The S-profile generator automatically generates the suitable traversing profile in order to approach the target jerk-free. In this case the acceleration has a triangular shape, and the maximum acceleration is eventually not reached.
