Stand-by operation, signal

Question:

When is the output signal 'POS-STDBY-ACT' switched?

Answer:

POS-STDBY-ACT = High:
  • After activation of stand-by operation the profile generator accelerates / decelerates to the master speed (POS-N-IN) by acceleration / deceleration of the program block.
  • When the master speed is reached there will be a hard switch to the master speed and POS-STDBY-ACT is set = High.

POS-STDBY-ACT = Low:
  • POS-STDBY-ACT is reset immediately after the profile generator has taken the drive's control.
  • This will be the case when the stand-by operation is aborted by the input 'POS-STDBY-STP' or by touch probe.
  • At that time the program function stand-by is not yet completely processed, although the signal POS-STDBY-ACT is = Low.
  • The program function is processed when the drive has stopped and / or the residual distance is traversed.
