GDC access to almost all codes is denied

Application

GDC is to be connected to a drive (with field bus communication).

Problem

When the parameters from the drive are being read, access to all codes outside the User Menu is denied.

Remedy

It may be that access protection is set for field bus communication (C0096/1 with AIF and C0096/2 with CAN). This access protection can only be deactivated by entering the correct password in C0094.

If the password is not known, check whether access can be gained via the other communication medium. This means:

• if CAN communication is blocked, try communication via AIF (LECOM)
• if AIF communication is blocked, try communication via CAN (system bus)

If you load the factory setting (C0002 = 0), all the passwords will be deactivated, i. e. reset.
