  • article number new (V0.9): 421049
  • construction labelling new: 2175IB.VB.09 or 2175IB.VC.09
  • ordering designation: EMF2175IB
  • article number old (V0.8): 403940 or 416657

2. Function improvements

Application
The device address is to be set via code C0009 and not via the DIP switches.

Description
If device addresses > 63 are selected under code C0009 and no address is selected via the DIP switch these device addresses will be accepted by the module. When using the CAN system it is only allowed to select addresses not larger than 63.

Elimination
When using communication modules with software version V0.9 the communication module initialises with the value 1 if a value > 63 has been parameterised under code C0009.

Short-term measure in the previous version
Select a value < 64 as device address under code C0009 when using the communication profile 'CanOpen'.

Possible diagnostics
The situation described above will occur if a CanOpen participant responds with an identifier resulting from the basic identifier and the device address under code C0009. Therefore, the participant will not respond under parameter channel but with an identifier of parameter channel 2.
Example: If the device address 65 has been set the values 1601 (to the drive controller) and 1473 (from the drive controller) will occur as resulting identifier for the parameter channel). Both values are the identifier for the second parameter channel.
