EEr-TRIP (fault indication) with switching on - drive controller does not react on control signals, red LED is blinking

Question:

All necessary control signals are connected to the 9300 drive controller. The drive cannot be enabled and the red status LED is blinking.

Answer:

Practically, often all necessary inputs E1 to E5 are circuited. Often it is ignored that the terminal X5/E4 (TRIP-SET = set fault) is wire break protected. If there is no signal at the terminal X5/E4, the drive controller shows the fault EEr (Extern Error).

Solution:
Supply terminal X5/E4 with 24 V or execute level inversion at code digit C0114/4 from 1 (Low-active) to 0 (high-active). After reset of the fault by High-level at the input X5/E5 (TRIP-RESET) / by mains disconnection the problem is solved (Attention: safe parameter via C0003 = 1 before).

Another cause of the fault can be the interchange of the right and the left terminal strip X5. Both terminal strips are fitted with red coding pins, which are supposed to avoid the put in on the wrong side. Sometimes, however, these terminal pins are misunderstood and the terminals are put in in a way, that the codings push against each other. With a lot of force it is possible to overcome the blockade and to change the terminal strips.

Simple control: The inputs must be at the left side and the outputs at the right side.
