Behavior of the new version:
Even after activating encrypted communication, the controller is found during the network scan.

Description of the behavior:
When clicking on the <Scan Network> button on the 'Communication Settings' tab of the controller (device), the controller is not found.

Conditions under which the behavior occurs:

  • As soon as 'Enforced Encryption' has been activated in the 'Runtime Security Policy', 
  • encrypted communication between PLC Designer and controller has been activated and 
  • the certificate for encrypted communication was only accepted for the session, 
the controller will no longer be found after the next start of PLC Designer when searching the network.
