Function description
The I&MO functionality must be supported by Profinet devices with DP-V1 functionality and informs about the interface module for commissioning and maintenance. Special tools (configuration software of the Profinet master) can use these functions to search for information in the Internet using this data of the interface module.
Applications
Due to the support of the PROFIsafe safety protocol, the I&MO functions had to be extended. Moreover, the function has been adapted with regard to version identifier, standard device, error codes, and error texts.
