Friction compensation with calculated speed setpoint (C3226=1)

Which products are affected?
TensionControl template V3.0

Function description
The template has been extended by code C3226.
If C3226 is set to 1 the motor speed setpoint is used as reference signal for the friction characteristic instead of the actual speed. The speed setpoint is calculated internally from the line speed signal and the active gearbox ratio.

Applications
In case of tension-controlled winders whose total torque setpoint basically consists of the setpoint for compensating the friction, minor speed variations in combination with a steep friction characteristic may lead to an unwanted direct feedback. The resulting faulty friction compensation usually appears in the form of a pulsating torque of the winder drive. The stability of the friction compensation can considerably be improved by using the motor setpoint speed as reference signal for the friction characteristic instead of the actual speed. In case of a stable line speed signal the calculated setpoint speed value varies considerably less than the motor speed.
