Friction compensation with filtered actual speed

Function description
The L_WndFrictionCurve function block has been extended by a reference speed filter for the friction characteristic. As a result, it can be avoided that little speed differences influence the friction compensation. The filter uses a dynamical filter time constant, i. e. infinite small speed differences are filtered with an infinite high filter time.

Applications
In case of tension-controlled winders whose total torque setpoint basically consists of the setpoint for compensating the friction, minor speed variations in combination with a steep friction characteristic may lead to an unwanted direct feedback. The resulting friction overcompensation usually appears in the form of a pulsating winder drive. The reference signal for the friction characteristic is smoothened by filtering the actual speed value. Vibration excitations in the winder can be damped by applying this measure.

In applications in case of which the torque setpoint for compensating the friction is always lower than the torque for reaching the tension setpoint it is not required to deviate from the default parameters of the function block. If this setting is selected the filter is deactivated.
