Cam profile changeover by means of the CDATA function block

Which products are affected?
9300 servo cam profiler V7.1

Applications
Cam drives connected in a multi-axis network which require a cam profile changeover or a standby operation dependent on the product or process.
Drives which require a distance/phase-controlled clutch function.

Description
The CDATA function block has been extended by a CDATA-SEL-CAM-MODE input.
If the input signal is activated, the cam profile can immediately be changed over within the cam clock pulse if this it selected at CDATA-SEL. (Otherwise the changeover is usually executed in the zero crossing of the x-axis).
Basically, this function has already existed before but it required a CPU time consuming initialisation of the CDATA function block.
Moreover, in order to generate cam profile data the following frame conditions are to be fulfilled if the function is to be applied:
- Cam profile data must be generated in the absolute data model
- Changed over cam profiles require identical clock pulse lengths and distribution of base points in x-direction
- In the changeover range base points and curve peak of the cam profiles must coincide in order to avoid a jerk in the movement
