TouchProbe, synchronisation of the motor (correction of the y-axis)

Application

Servo CAM 9300:
  • For all motors using resolvers as feedback systems which are operated without homing function or with continuous re-synchronisation. This function is similar to the Touch-Probe synchronisation in DFSET.

Description

Synchronisation of the drive with the dimensional system of the machine is performed for 2 reasons:
  • First synchronisation after power up. The dimensional system of the drive controller and that of the machine can be very far apart, i.e. the distance to catch up can be very long.
  • Post-synchronisation if slip occurs in the system (e.g. with conveyor belts). The distance to catch up is relatively short in this case.

The firmware change to V3.0 incorporates an extension of the familiar function.

In function block CCTRL 2 codes have been created:
  • C1365/1 is used to set the max. catch-up speed (factory setting = 100 rpm).
  • C1366/0 is used to activate the function:
  • 0 = previous function (factory setting for compatibility reasons)
  • 1 = function with reduced catch-up speed

The synchronisation of the motor with dimensional system of the machine takes place at the falling edge of digital input DIGIN4. The position of the cam in relation to the dimensional system of the machine has to be generated at signal input CCTRL-TPPOS.
