Is the activation of safety functions (stop- and monitoring-functions) possible via PROFIsafe and safe inputs simultaneously?
Answer:
In the delivery status (Lenze factory default setting) the PROFIsafe (display C15100 = 0), as well as the safe inputs are deactivated (C15030 = 0).
In case of the safe parameter setting both interfaces can be activated simultaneously.
This cannot lead to implausible states!
Reason: When safety functions are demanded, there is a determined priority (see documentation). STO is of highest priority, SS1 before SS2, SS2 before monitoring functions, monitoring functions are of the same priority and can be executed simultaneously. Independent from the source of demand this priority setting becomes effective - this is no contradiction.
The switch for selecting the operating mode OMS is considered - here can only be 'one'. Only one input can be parameterised on OMS (the selection is blocked to further inputs). When a safe input is parameterised on OMS, the setting of the corresponding bit 11 in the PROFIsafe-output data shows no reaction.
The plausibility is executed within the safe parameter setting in the engineer, but also in the safety module itself.
