Is there a separate device description (PDB) for Servo PLC applications with positioning library?
Answer:
No. There is one basic PDB for the Servo PLC and one for the Drive PLC. In the case of applications of Servo PLC with the positioning library a specific PDB is generated during compilation, containing all the codes. This automatic generation of the PDB has to be set under Project => Options => GDC device description file => Create device description.
Here there is a fundamental difference compared to 'standard' servo inverter 9300 and positioning controller 9300 (different PDBs for the two devices). In the case of Servo PLC positioning-specific codes must be generated in the instance parameter manager 'manually', which are then contained in the PDB after compilation.
