Basic Setup for Macerator (Grinder) Pumps using SMVector drives
Many pumping applications require the ability to decompose solids inherent to the system in order to not jam the pump or overall system.
This is common in wastewater applications. The wastewater can include anything including sticks, leaves, or even garbage and the engineer needs to ensure this will not clog the system.
This is what macerator pumps are used for.
The macerator pump operates similar to a garbage disposal in your kitchen sink, using a chopper blade on the impeller inlet to break down the solid material in the pump.
