PLC target system sends a boot-up event during download (remedied from B-SW V8.0)
Remedied from:
ECS axis module V8.0
Behaviour of new version?
In response to a node guarding telegram the ECS axis module does not send a boot-up event during the project download.
However, the ECS axis module cannot execute the typical change of the toggle bit state in the response while the project is downloaded.
Which products are affected?
EPL-10200 (Drive PLC V7.1 and lower)
EVS93xxEI (Servo PLC V7.2 and lower)
EVS93xxET (Servo PLC with technology function V7.2 and lower)
ECS axis module V7.4 and lower
What happens?
In response to a node guarding telegram the PLC target system sends a boot-up event during the project download.
Dependent on the set response to this answer it may happen that the CAN master sends a Reset-Node. Due to this Reset-Node the project download is aborted too early.
When does the problem occur?
The response described before occurs if the PLC target system is configured as Slave with node guarding (C0352 = 4) and a node guarding telegram has been received while a project has been downloaded, e. g. by means of the Global Drive Loader software.
Possible diagnostics?
None.
Short-term measures/recommendations?
Deactivate node guarding functionality in the CAN master before a project is downloaded to a PLC target system.
Evaluation:
The function restriction only occurs during the project download if the PLC target system has been configured as Slave with node guarding.
