OC3 monitoring (overload of the charging circuit) (V2.3 onwards)
Which products are affected?
Supply module ECSxE series, operating software V2.3
Function description
The monitoring of the charging circuit for overload (OC3) has been implemented. An overload of the charging circuit is detected if the DC bus voltage exceeds 15 V during charging but does not increase any further afterwards for a period of 500 ms. This may occur for example in case of an ohmic load in the DC bus or if the axis controller is enabled before the charging process in completed.
Like OC1 (short-circuit) the error message OC3 can only be reset after 3 s.
Applications
Charging the DC bus of the ECS servo system after mains connection.
