Cyber Security: Runtime system password policy - extension to include password expiry

Function extension:

The password policy of the runtime system (the Lenze controller) has been extended to include the definition of a password expiration interval.

The scope can be used to specify the group of users to whom the password expiration interval applies:

  • ADMINS: Users with administrator rights
  • NONADMINS: all users who do not have administrator rights
  • ALL all users

Included in the following products:

PLC Designer V4.1 

Application:

Administrators can use this function to enforce regular password changes.
