Parameter 0x2C42:016 can be used to differentiate between rotary and linear feedback systems:
- 0x2C42:016= [0]: rotary
- 0x2C42:016= [1]: linear
For linear feedback systems, an extended settings dialog is nowavailable inthe engineering tool, making the parameterization of linear encoders more user-friendly.
Linear encoder-specificparameters (typical values from the data sheet)canbe entered directly via the"Calculation aid" dialog (Calculate button). These are then automatically converted to the values required for the internal rotary architecture of the i950.
